This resource give students a kid-friendly overview of what anxiety is and provides them with coping strategies that they can practice and put into use right away!

Includes:
  • Kid-friendly video defining and giving examples of anxiety
  • Overview of what what anxiety is
  • Interactive Practice Activities/Exercises

Activities included:
1. Students will recognize examples of what anxiety looks like and feels like.
2. Students will choose from a list of examples to determine what makes them feel worried and what doesn't.
3. Students will learn and practice 8 coping strategies (each with an animal theme).
4. Students will identify what is in their control vs. what is not, and how that connects to anxiety.
5. Students will complete a sort showing what strategies might SHRINK anxiety vs. what will make it grow.
6. Students will come up with their own personal anxiety plan to manage anxiety when it strikes.
7. Students will listen to the book "Worry Says What?" and complete an interactive activity to go along with it.

Audio recordings of directions and activities are included.

Students will need to be able to do the following to complete:
  • Access Google Slides Presentations (they will need a Google Account)
  • Read or listen (by clicking an audio symbol) to each set of directions and activities
  • Drag boxes/images on the slides
  • Type short answer responses

Important Note: This resource is created to be used with Google Classroom. It is a Google Slides presentation. All students will need access to a Google account to use it.
