5 engaging activities for students to practice identifying and naming feelings

1. How Frosty is a Friend Mini Book:

- simple text with pictures showing ways the Frosty is a good friend

-color or black and white

2. I Can Be A Friend Snowman Craftivity:

- interactive craft!

- students flip the pages on snowmans body. On each page, they will write or draw a way they can be a good friend.

3. SNOW Much Kindness Poem:

- engaging poem that tells a story about a snowman who is left of out for being different, until one day a friendly snowman comes along

- includes a version with 3 comprehension questions

4. snOw YEAH or sNOw WAY Friendship Game:

- clip card game

- students look at a picture and decide if it is showing friendship or not

5. Parts of a Friend Snowman Writing:

- Students will label the parts of a snowman, writing what the snowman uses each part for to be a friend (example: Mouth for saying kind words), then write their favorite part of a friend
